The Big Bang Lie Theory – Part One
By Aamy Hall
In order to understand how New Zealand has managed to slide so far down the slippery slope towards an apartheid system of government, we need to understand the methods that have been used over the last 20 or 30 years to get us to this point.
Methods that have, in the most part, gone completely unnoticed by the general population as their rights have been trampled on and their country systematically pilfered by activists intent on wealth, power and the subversion of democracy.
Most of us think of propaganda as something employed during war time. But its techniques are used every day. Commonly in advertising. But also in political and social activism.
Technique One – The Big Lie
This theory is based on the presumption that we all tell small lies in our daily lives, and therefore do not believe them when they are told to us. But not many people tell really big lies, and they don’t expect others to either. Therefore, when a really big lie is told, and repeated often enough, it takes on the appearance and acceptance of truth, and because a big lie is so unlikely, people come to accept it.
This technique has been used, most devastatingly, in our quite recent history, to portray the Jews as the enemies of the German people. Having taken over the press, Hitler’s minister of propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, spread lies blaming Jews for all of Germany’s problems, including the loss of World War I. One outrageous lie dating back to the middle ages claimed that Jews engaged in ritual killings of Christian children and used their blood in the unleavened bread eaten at Passover [source: Landau].
Like never before, anti-Semitism was manifested in a sweeping national policy known as “The Final Solution”, which sought to eliminate Jews from the face of the earth.
In history, this technique has often resulted in elaborate hoaxes, perjuries and forgeries that have had enormous ripple effects. The results of which have been lives lost, life-savings destroyed, legitimate research hampered and – most of all – faith in our fellow man shattered.
Hitler wrote in his best-selling book, Mein Kampf, (MURPHY translation: chapter 10, page 134:).
“All this was inspired by the principle – which is quite true in itself – that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.
Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying. These people know only too well how to use falsehood for the basest purposes.”
For the last three decades, in New Zealand, this technique has been, and is being, employed to great effect by the Maori tribal elite in order to gain, unearned and undeserved, enormous wealth and power.
The first big lie, and the one that has been told the most often and for the longest time, is that the Crown stole Maori land.
This is a lie. There was no theft of Maori land. Of New Zealand’s 26.8-million hectares, 1.47-million hectares remain in Maori freehold title, and 1.2-million hectares were confiscated as a result of the 1860s wars. The remaining 24.13-million hectares were bought and paid for. [Butler]
Yet how many people of Maori and non-Maori descent still believe this, and that the Treaty settlements of billions of taxpayer dollars and vast tracts of Crown land to the liars, is fair and just? A massive transfer of wealth and power to settle claims of an injustice that never occurred in the first place. All too many. All of which goes to show how this one technique alone has worked wonders for the tribal elite.
A quote, often attributed to Mark Twain, but his input is unproven, goes “It’s easier to fool people than it is to convince them that they have been fooled.”
This is the mission we are on and the difficulty we are facing. In order to put a halt to New Zealand’s slide into a racist, separatist, bi-cultural country, we must first awaken the masses to the fact that they have been deceived.
